A lot of families came out to celebrate Juneteenth in Davidson.

Guests of all ages attended the first annual Davidson Juneteenth Celebration held at the Ada Jenkins Center.

Volunteers for the local Lake Norman?Iredell affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Health were on hand.

State Senator Natasha Marcus, a former volunteer and staff member at the Ada Jenkins Center, volunteered to supervise the duck races.

Friends and family members of the late Brenda Tapia were on hand to provide informaiton about the foundation established in Brenda’s honor.

Illustrator Gordon C. Jones took the time to talk with an Atrium Health volunteer.

The Atrium Health team was on hand to provide COVID vaccines at the Juneteeth Celebration.

The Juneteenth Celebration had games, a bounce tent, food trucks, and vendors/nonprofit tents.
